Oh yes, it's a thing..

Beard Beer is beer made from yeast found in the whiskered beard of Rogue Ales, award-winning brewmaster, John "More Hops" Maier.

First thought? That is freaking gross. Second thought? I want someone to try it and tell me how it is… some other braver soul than me. That's despite winning Gold at the 2015 World Beer Championships, America's oldest international beer competition

Naturally the whole thing started as a joke. "We do things that are fun, tongue in cheek," said Brett Joyce, president of Rogue Ales. Yep, they sure do, or is that beard in cheek?

INGREDIENTS: Munich, C15 and pilsner malts; Sterling hops; free-range coastal water; Beard Yeast
