The Ripple Effect

Creating surf legends in Coolangatta


5000, that's the population of Coolangatta, a town in the deep in coastal heartland of Australia. It's a small population but there is clearly something in the water that helps make more surfing world champions than anywhere else in the world.

And that something has a lot to do with the local wave, the Superbank. This video, the Ripple Effect, looks at the history of the Coolangatta Kids, which runs a whole lot deeper than the world's most famous sandbar.
