Wake

Wake, is a really interesting pictorial project. It takes a lot of gumption to self-publish an art book, and Bryce Thomas has started with a really challenging angle.

The concept of the book stemmed from a few simple portraits of surfers taken during the winter months of 2015. Bryce has sought to explore the physicality, post surf, of a diverse range of people whose only commonality is a willingness to brave the chilly early morning waves. 

The result, a vignetted visual compendium of the Bondi surfer.
