Surfing Lay Day for The Gold Coast

Officials Call

Earlier today, organizers decided poor wave conditions were enough to call a lay day for surfing on the Gold Coast.

The Roxy Pro is currently in the semi-finals stage. Three women represent Australia in the final four, Stephanie Gilmore, Tyler Wright and Sally Fitzgibbons have all advanced. The men's event though is lagging behind due to weather. Their event is just out of the first round.

Surfing may resume tomorrow, organizers will make the call at 7.30 AEDT on Saturday.
