Street Art immortalizes classic moment at Quicksilver Pro

Remember this?

This picture made quite a splash a few weeks ago. It happened during the 2013 Quicksilver Pro- in the finals.

The story goes Kelly Slater took a wave (as it was his right to) that Joel Parkinson was already on. Basically he blocked Parkinson on his last attempt, securing victory. It was sort of a cowardly move, as Parkinson would have needed an almost perfect score to beat him, but also a smart move on a competitive stand point. As you can guess, some people were not pleased.

Spotted near San Diego and published on Melrose and Fairfax. Simple yet effective.
